The Platelet-Rich Plasma Facial is similar to the Vampire Facelift® or other PRP therapies that celebrities such as Kim Kardashian get, with or without the use of fillers, or microneedling. The PRP Facial is a unique experience that involves the injection of the patient’s own Platelet-Rich Plasma through thin needles at the treatment site(s), which then allows for absorption into the skin.

Some key areas for treatment using the Platelet-Rich Plasma Facial are typically the forehead, bags or other signs of tiredness and aging around the eyes, and lines around the mouth, however the PRP Facial is also used for pretty much any other areas that our patients may be concerned about. While some providers use nurses to perform PRP therapies, at Aspire Body Contouring and Med Spa, all PRP treatments and procedures, including the PRP Facial, are performed by a licensed Physician.
In terms of pain, the best way to describe the PRP Facial is “mildly uncomfortable”. That said, it is a lot easier on patients than a full facelift (not to mention much less expensive), and it only takes a few minutes. After the procedure, there will be a small amount of swelling but that tends to go down within an hour and should be completely gone within the same day. With minimal discomfort and some redness for a couple of days, the patient can continue most lifestyle activities with no disruption.
The plasma used for the PRP Facial remains alive in the treated area for seven days but the activity of the stem cells in the plasma continues working for about three months, when you’ll head back to our office for a check-up to see how everything is going. However, you can expect the effects of the Platelet-Rich Plasma Facial treatment to last for 12-18 months – sometimes even longer!
